NAIDOC Week 2017

NAIDOC* Week is a  nation-wide celebration of the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples held in July each year.

It’s a week when Australian people from all walks of life are invited to participate in a range of cultural activities and events to support the local and national Indigenous community.

ThemeNAIDOC Week 2017

Every year a theme is chosen to highlight an important aspect of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture.

Our Languages Matter is this year’s theme and it emphasises the importance, richness and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander languages.
