Australian Technical Colleges will provide young Australians with the opportunity to commence their training in a traditional trade through a School-Based New Apprenticeship while at the same time completing academic subjects leading to a Year 12 certificate.

On Track helps young people make the transition from school to further education, training and work. The project contacts young people who left school in years 10-12 in the previous year to find out if they are studying or in full time work. If not, they are put in contact with local services to help them get their career plans back on track.

The Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) is a hands-on option for students in Years 11 and 12. The VCAL gives you practical work-related experience, as well as literacy and numeracy skills and the opportunity to build personal skills that are important for life and work.
