Grants Victoria is a directory of Victorian Government grants and assistance. Here you’ll find general information about grants and assistance for individuals, businesses and communities that can help you:

  • fund ideas and initiatives;
  • develop local and national solutions;
  • get assistance in times of hardship; and
  • access further information.

Victorian Government includes Departments, statutory authorities and government business enterprises.

Grants include funding programs, individual grants, fellowships and scholarships.

Assistance includes help or support in various forms for example, government concessions, such as the seniors card and the winter gas concession, goods, such as water saving rebates and shower heads, or funds,  such as the community safety fund grant, for citizens of Victoria.

      2014-15 Be Heard! - Round 4

      The Be Heard! program provides funding for rural and regional community radio stations to run training workshops in radio broadcasting and mentoring for young people to produce live-to-air shows. The program enables young people to develop skills and career pathways in radio broadcasting and showcase the talents of young people and their contribution to the local community.

      Applications are now open to community radio stations for round 4 of the 2014-15 Be Heard! grant round.

      All community radio stations in regional and rural areas are eligible to apply for this funding round, including those who have previously received a Be Heard! grant.

      Aged Persons Mental Health Services (65+ years)

      Aged persons mental health services are primarily for people with a long-standing mental illness who are now over 65 years of age, or who have developed functional illnesses such as depression and psychosis in later life. They also provide services for people with psychiatric or severe behavioural difficulties associated with organic disorders such as dementia.

      Anzac Centenary Major Grants Program

      The Anzac Centenary Major Grants Program provides financial assistance for projects which commemorate, honour and remember the service and sacrifice of Victoria's World War I veterans and their communities.

      The program is designed to support significant projects between $20,000 and $100,000 which have a commemorative or education benefit for Victoria's diverse community.

      The program supports projects in Victoria and is separate from and will complement other Anzac Centenary grants programs delivered by the Victorian Government and the Commonwealth.

      ANZAC Commemorative Naming Project

      During the ANZAC centenary period (2014-18), the Victorian government is conducting a commemorative naming project in partnership with naming authorities, primarily councils. The project is an opportunity for Victorians to acknowledge the wartime service and sacrifice of their local municipality's military service people or locals who supported Australia's military cause. The Office of Geographic Names is managing the Anzac Commemorative Naming Project on behalf of the Veterans Unit of the Department of Premier and Cabinet.
