Grants Victoria is a directory of Victorian Government grants and assistance. Here you’ll find general information about grants and assistance for individuals, businesses and communities that can help you:

  • fund ideas and initiatives;
  • develop local and national solutions;
  • get assistance in times of hardship; and
  • access further information.

Victorian Government includes Departments, statutory authorities and government business enterprises.

Grants include funding programs, individual grants, fellowships and scholarships.

Assistance includes help or support in various forms for example, government concessions, such as the seniors card and the winter gas concession, goods, such as water saving rebates and shower heads, or funds,  such as the community safety fund grant, for citizens of Victoria.

      2014-2015 Agricultural and Pastoral Society Grants Program

      Agricultural and pastoral shows play a vital role in Victorian communities and the state government is committed to providing ongoing funding support for their work through the Agriculture and Pastoral Society Grants Program.

      Each year the program provides grants of up to $10,000 for improving facilities that promote agriculture and arts and crafts. The program also offers grants of up to $8,000 to install or upgrade showground amenities and up to $5,000 for business activities such as workshops, planning and surveys.

      Active Club Grants recognise the important role local clubs/organisations play in increasing physical activity and helping communities stay connected. This year VicHealth is providing greater opportunities for clubs to apply for an Active Club Grant by conducting 2 funding rounds in the 2014-15 financial year.

      Aged Persons Mental Health Services (65+ years)

      Aged persons mental health services are primarily for people with a long-standing mental illness who are now over 65 years of age, or who have developed functional illnesses such as depression and psychosis in later life. They also provide services for people with psychiatric or severe behavioural difficulties associated with organic disorders such as dementia.

    • Anzac Centenary Major Grants Program
      Anzac Centenary Major Grants Program

      The Anzac Centenary Major Grants Program provides financial assistance for projects which commemorate, honour and remember the service and sacrifice of Victoria's World War I veterans and their communities.

      The program is designed to support significant projects between $20,000 and $100,000 which have a commemorative or education benefit for Victoria's diverse community.

      The program supports projects in Victoria and is separate from and will complement other Anzac Centenary grants programs delivered by the Victorian Government and the Commonwealth.

    • ANZAC Commemorative Naming Project
      ANZAC Commemorative Naming Project

      During the ANZAC centenary period (2014-18), the Victorian government is conducting a commemorative naming project in partnership with naming authorities, primarily councils. The project is an opportunity for Victorians to acknowledge the wartime service and sacrifice of their local municipality's military service people or locals who supported Australia's military cause. The Office of Geographic Names is managing the Anzac Commemorative Naming Project on behalf of the Veterans Unit of the Department of Premier and Cabinet.
