      2017 Participation for CALD Seniors Grants Program

      Do you know an organisation helping culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) seniors to participate in the community?

      The Participation for CALD Seniors Grants Program provides funding for projects that help isolated people from CALD backgrounds connect with existing or new support networks and activities.

      Since 2011, the program has funded more than 200 community projects helping over 3,000 culturally diverse seniors to participate in the community.

      Eligible organisations such as seniors clubs, ethnic community groups, migrant resource centres, neighbourhood houses, aged care facilities and local councils are invited to apply for funding of up to $5,000 for small projects or up to $10,000 for complex projects.

      The Participation for CALD seniors grants program is delivered in partnership with the Ethnic Communities' Council of Victoria, and is accepting applications until Friday 24 February 2017.

      During the ANZAC centenary period (2014-18), the Victorian government is conducting a commemorative naming project in partnership with naming authorities, primarily councils. The project is an opportunity for Victorians to acknowledge the wartime service and sacrifice of their local municipality's military service people or locals who supported Australia's military cause. The Office of Geographic Names is managing the Anzac Commemorative Naming Project on behalf of the Veterans Unit of the Department of Premier and Cabinet.
