Being a child protection practitioner for the Victorian Government means more than having a role in improving the future of hundreds of children and their families. It's about working with people who share a common goal and who together achieve positive results through all aspects of their work, every single day.
Children and Youth Area Partnerships is a new approach, bringing together Victorian Government departments including the Departments of Education and Early Childhood; Health; Human Services; Justice; and Victoria Police to work with local government and the community sector to improve outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.
All Victorian children require a nurturing and supportive family and community to enable them to achieve their full potential. For vulnerable children who are exposed to child abuse and neglect we need to ensure that they are protected and supported so that they can have the best chance in life.
