The 2009 Victorian Bushfires Royal Commission's three Commissioners presented their final report to the Governor of Victoria, Professor David de Kretser AC on the morning of 31 July 2010.

The State Government's Bushfire Buy-back Scheme is a voluntary land acquisition program. From 1 March 2012, Victorian landowners in high bushfire risk areas can submit an application form to have their property bought by the State Government.

The final report was delivered to the Governor of Victoria on the morning of 31 July 2010. The Governor then presented the report to the Premier who tabled it in the Victorian Parliament. The report is now available to the public.
