The Bilateral agreements

There are two Bilateral Agreements between the Commonwealth and Victoria.

The Bilateral Agreement between the Commonwealth and Victoria – Transition to a National Disability Insurance Scheme outlines the agreement around the roll out of the NDIS across Victoria over the three transition years including the participant phasing schedule.

The Bilateral Agreement between the Commonwealth and Victoria - Transitioning Responsibilities for Aged Care and Disability Services outlines the agreed split in responsibilities for the Commonwealth taking responsibility for people 65 years and over, and Victoria taking responsibility for people under 65. When the NDIS is rolled out in each area, it is expected that some of these people will become participants in the NDIS.

More information about the agreements is available in the Bilateral agreement and phasing schedule fact sheet which is available to download below.
