Education Week 2011
Education Week 2011 will be celebrated from 15 − 21 May 2011 when kindergartens and government schools throughout Victoria will open their doors to parents and their broader communities through information nights, open days, student displays, performances and other special events that showcase their programs and achievements.
Education Week coincides with National Families Week in 2011, which presents the opportunity for schools and kindergartens to consolidate their involvement in both weeks and highlight the role and importance of family in a child’s early learning and education journey.
A calendar of more than 50 free events will see children learn to juggle, milk a cow, create colourful artworks, explore the future or discover how snakebite antivenin works in a series of engaging educational sessions for schools and kindergarten groups to be held at Victoria's best-known organisations.
