New timetables

Public transport passengers across the state are reminded to check their travel plans as new timetables affecting metropolitan and regional trains, coaches and buses start this Sunday 8 May.

Metropolitan trains

Key changes:

  • The Craigieburn, Sydenham, Upfield and Werribee lines benefit during the weekend with all services increasing in capacity, running as six-carriage trains instead of three-carriages.

  • An additional one to three minutes has been incorporated into the scheduled journey time of most Cranbourne/Pakenham, Frankston and Sandringham line services, making their timetabled journey times more realistic, and more reflective of current journey times.

  • The new timetable will help to minimise the effects of service disruptions for passengers by isolating each line to help avoid any flow-on effect of delays on other lines.

V/Line trains and buses
