Transport Safety Victoria website launched

This week saw the launch of the new Transport Safety Victoria website, www.transportsafety.vic.gov.au

The new site brings together the previous Marine Safety Victoria and Public Transport Safety Victoria websites into one place, making it easier for Victorians to find the information and resources they need quickly and efficiently.

The launch goes hand-in-hand with a new web content management system which will allow Transport Safety Victoria to do more interesting things with web pages.

The website contains important safety information and guidance for bus and rail operators, commercial vessel operators and recreational boaters. Users can easily access the latest resources to ensure they are fulfilling their safety obligations.

Content is ordered under the following headings:

  • Bus safety

  • Maritime safety

  • Rail safety

  • About Transport Safety Victoria

  • Publications and forms

  • Contact us

Other new features include a searchable publications and forms section, rotating news reel highlighting stories of interest, plus multiple ways of finding content via the search function, site map, and clear and consistent navigation tabs. Users can also subscribe to receive up-to-date safety and information alerts and newsletters.

The website will continue to evolve, so you may see further enhancements in future.

If you have any questions or comments about the new website, please contact Charlotte Hayes via email at charlotte.hayes@transportsafety.vic.gov.au, or phone 03 9655 3332.
