Victorian Bushfire Appeal Fund - 1800 811 700
The Premier John Brumby has launched the 2009 Victorian Bushfire Appeal Fund in partnership with the Australian Government and Red Cross to support communities impacted by devastating fires which have ravaged many parts of Victoria.
Individuals and organisations wishing to make a donation to the Victorian Bushfire Appeal Fund can go to www.redcross.org.au or call the toll free number 1800 811 700.
A number of immediate assistance payments are now available through the Victorian Bushfire Appeal Fund (DHS). This will help families with immediate needs such as funeral and travel-related costs. Claims must be made before 31 December 2009.
