Victorian Climate Change Green Paper

Victoria's Climate Change Green Paper outlines in detail the risks facing our state from climate change and the likely impacts of the Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme. It proposes ways in which Victoria can reduce greenhouse gas emissions, adapt to the impacts of climate change and become a leading low carbon economy.

The release of the Green Paper begins a four-month public consultation program inviting submissions in response to the Green Paper and participation in a series of public forums throughout Victoria. Feedback provided during the consultation program will help shape the Climate Change White Paper, Victoria's formal policy response to climate change for release in late 2009.

The Victorian Government is seeking feedback from the Victorian community on the Green Paper and wants your ideas on how we can best respond to the challenges of climate change.
