Get it Right on Bin Night

Get it Right on Bin night is a statewide campaign to support greater recycling from Victorian households.

The campaign encourages householders to think beyond the kitchen and recycle from the laundry, bathroom, lounge and study.

Originally run with a metro focus in May 2012, this time around the campaign will predominantly focus on regional Victoria. It will use television (regional Victoria), press, radio, online advertising and social media to help householders Get it Right on Bin Night.

One of the main campaign messages is to keep recycling out of plastic bags and place recyclables in the recycling bin loose. When recyclables are placed in plastic bags they cannot be sorted for recycling and may end up in landfill.

The campaign will also feature a social media campaign covering Facebook and Twitter with regular updates on items that can be recycled as well as a Facebook quiz.
