Support Small Business Day27 August 2013
Victoria's first ever Support Small Business Day campaign started on Monday 26 August when the Minister for Innovation, Services and Small Business Louise Asher officially launched the Support Small Business Day website www.supportsmallbusinessday.com.au.
The campaign, which runs for eight weeks, leads into Support Small Business Day on Saturday 19 October.
While the Small Business Festival, which runs throughout August every year, is focussed on providing small businesses with information and advice about running their business, Support Small Business Day is focussed on consumers.
To encourage Victorians to participate, the Support Small Business Day Principal Partner, the National Australia Bank, is funding $100,000 worth of consumers incentives and prizes, including more than 4,000 pre-loaded eftpos cards that can be used exclusively at participating small businesses on 19 October.
Get involved and check out the Support Small Business Day website.
Shoppers can nominate their favourite small business and can get access to win eftpos cards to spend at participating businesses on the day.
Retailers can sign up to Support Small Business Day and receive exclusive content and videos, have access to workshops about how to get the most out of the day and also link into Business Victoria workshops and seminars.
