About the VisualPlace Map

The VisualPlace Map provides you with an interactive GIS-enabled application to map and visualise government data and services.

Find Services in Your Local Area

Search through a wide range of services categories such as schools, hospitals and education for services within your local area and view your results on the VisualPlace Map.

See the Help File "Search for Services in Your Area"

Display Services

Find, locate and map service locations throughout Victoria such as Train and Tram lines, Police Stations, Life Saving Clubs and Libraries.

See the Help File "Display Services"

Thematic Mapping

Search and map data at both state and local government area levels. Data includes a wide range of facts about a community such as citizen demographics, employment, education, and health. Create more detailed maps by overlaying locations of services with thematic data.

See the Help File "Display Thematics"

Silverlight

VisualPlace utilises Microsft Silverlight to provide users with a rich, interactive web experience. To access VisualPlace users will be required to install Silverlight first.

Your web browser may already have Silverlight installed. If not, the first time you use Visual Place you will be prompted to install it.

Otherwise you can install Silverlight here.
