Victorian Honour Roll of Women program

The Victorian Honour Roll of Women acknowledges and celebrates the outstanding achievements of women in Victoria.

Since 2001, 607 inductees have been honoured for their significant and lasting contributions to Victoria, Australia and beyond.

Inductees have contributed to lasting change in Victoria, Australia and the world, in many fields of endeavour. Areas of work for nomination include:

  • arts and media
  • government
  • police and emergency services
  • business industry
  • human rights and law
  • prevention of family violence
  • community advocacy
  • health
  • rural and regional
  • education
  • indigenous affairs
  • science, research and engineering
  • environment
  • justice and corrections
  • sport and recreation
  • disability
  • planning and architecture.

2018 Honour Roll nominations are now closed

Key dates

July to August 2017 – Assessment of nominations conducted by assessment panel

October 2017 – Assessment Panel Meeting

October 2017 – Recommendations provided to Minister for Women Late

November 2017 – Successful inductees and unsuccessful nominators notified

March 2018 – Celebratory event to formally induct inductees
