We've talked about the big projects, but if you're wondering how One VPS will help with the smaller barriers, we have a solution for that too.

Virginia Lam, our new Director and Process Lead for One VPS, is driving this important work.

What is the One VPS Challenge?

'The One VPS Challenge is a step-by-step process that will help align work across the VPS and empower all of us to work with colleagues from other Departments to develop common solutions,' says Virginia.

The One VPS team is working with DPC's Agile Delivery Office to develop a process (and supporting resources) that will help tackle common barriers. This is utilising Virginia's experience in transforming corporate processes, business continuity, risk management and corporate shared services.

Common challenges might be things like: aligning a government process between departments, or working with colleagues in a regional area to find a common process to deal with a recurring issue in the community.

Apart from helping develop the toolkit, Virginia will be using the One VPS Challenge process to help support the work happening across HCM, grants and procurement.

'There's some exciting work ahead and it is great to be a part of the team that is leading the change and bringing us closer to be One VPS,' says Virginia. 'There will be lots happening and plenty of opportunities for everyone across the sector to engage and be part of the journey to creating One VPS.'
