Organisations and groups that serve lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and gender diverse, intersex and queer (LGBTIQ+) communities can now apply for Victorian Government grants of up to $50,000 to continue developing their skills and to plan for their long-term future.

Minister for Equality Martin Foley recently announced the $500,000 2021 LGBTIQ+ Organisational Development Grants to help improve the services available to LGBTIQ+ communities across Victoria, including people with disability and people living in regional and rural areas.

These grants can support activities such as staff training, developing strategies to better engage with diverse LGBTIQ+ communities and long-term financial planning.

“Organisations and groups who support LGBTIQ+ Victorians make an incredible contribution to the wellbeing of these communities”, said Minister Foley.

Grant applications are open until Wednesday, 14 April 2021.

“I urge LGBTIQ+ organisations and groups, particularly those who have an idea for how their work can better reflect the diversity of our LGBTIQ+ communities, to apply for a grant”, said the Victorian Commissioner for LGBTIQ+ Communities Ro Allen.
