2018 Participation for CALD Seniors Grants Program

The Participation for CALD Seniors Grants Program offers small grants to organisations to create or expand community participation opportunities for isolated culturally diverse seniors. Evidence shows that older people from culturally diverse backgrounds are often at a higher risk of social isolation due to a range of factors such as language and cultural barriers, lack of confidence and limited awareness of services available to them.

Eligible organisations such as seniors clubs, ethnic community groups, migrant resource centres, neighbourhood houses, aged care facilities, local councils and other not for profit organisations are invited to apply for funding up to $10,000.

Applications must be lodged by 5pm, 1 June 2018. Please note that no late or incomplete applications will be considered. Successful applicants will be awarded grants for projects commencing 1 October 2018 and concluding on 30 September 2019.

    • Animal Welfare Fund Grants Program - Round 6
Animal Welfare Fund Grants Program - Round 6

The Minister for Agriculture, on behalf of the government, is offering financial support to not-for-profit organisations that improve the welfare of animals. These include animal shelters and rescue groups, organisations promoting responsible animal ownership education, community foster care networks, and groups that provide relief facilities and services during an emergency.

The Animal Welfare Fund has been developed in recognition of the excellent companion animal welfare services which are being delivered across Victoria by many not-for-profit organisations. These grants recognise that companion animals play a significant role in the lives of Victorians.

The small grants program is designed to provide up to $10,000 (GST free) for projects that benefit the welfare of companion animals. The program is not reliant on any matching cash contribution from the organisation for an application to be successful.

The large grants program provides grants from $10,001 up to $50,000 (GST free) for projects that benefit the welfare of companion animals. Preference is given to projects that leverage off other projects and/or to which some financial co-funding or in-kind contribution can be made by the project proponent to the funds being sought.
