Grants Victoria is a directory of Victorian Government grants and assistance. Here you’ll find general information about grants and assistance for individuals, businesses and communities that can help you:

  • fund ideas and initiatives;
  • develop local and national solutions;
  • get assistance in times of hardship; and
  • access further information.

Victorian Government includes Departments, statutory authorities and government business enterprises.

Grants include funding programs, individual grants, fellowships and scholarships.

Assistance includes help or support in various forms for example, government concessions, such as the seniors card and the winter gas concession, goods, such as water saving rebates and shower heads, or funds,  such as the community safety fund grant, for citizens of Victoria.

      Gender Equality in Victorian Sport and Recreation Pilot Program

      The Gender Equality in Sport and Recreation Program provides grants to organisations to deliver gender equality, cultural change initiatives in sport and recreation settings, which contribute to the prevention of violence against women in Victoria.

      Expressions of Interest will open on 3 May 2018 and close 21 May 2018 for the Gender Equality in Victorian Sport and Recreation Pilot Program.

    • Georges Mora Fellowship
      Georges Mora Fellowship

      The Georges Mora Fellowship gives one contemporary artist the opportunity to study, experiment and explore fresh thinking in their art.
      The recipient is awarded $10,000 for up to 6 months' research and given the means and uninterrupted time to work closely with the rich resources of the State Library, including access to a private study within the Library, which can be used outside normal opening hours.
      Also, the Georges Mora Fellowship can help the fellow apply for a self-identified local or international residency, as well as provide access to organisations and individuals with specialist knowledge to support the artist to research, experiment and create.

      The fellowship is awarded with funds generously donated by arts supporters and with the support of State Library Victoria, Alliance Française de Melbourne and other partners.

      Applications for the 2018–19 fellowship are now open. Fellowship applications must be received by 6pm on Sunday 22 April 2018.

      Grants for Clinical Research on Gambling Program

      The Grants for Clinical Research on Gambling Program is a new grant program that funds clinically focused gambling research in Victoria. The first round of the program funded five projects on gambling treatment and recovery.

    • Grants for Gambling Research Program - Round 8
      Grants for Gambling Research Program - Round 8

      The program encourages researchers from a variety of disciplines to undertake independent, investigator-initiated research into gambling and problem gambling.

      The Grants for Gambling Research Program (Round 8) is now open for applications. Researchers are invited to submit project proposals considering one of the following research themes:

      - the social context of low and moderate risk gambling
      - strategies to prevent harm among young people aged 12-17 and 18-24.

      The program provides funding of up to $200,000 over three years for investigator-initiated research projects. The program It also invites early career researchers to apply for funding of up to $50,000 over two years.
