Victorian Government includes Departments, statutory authorities and government business enterprises.

Grants include funding programs, individual grants, fellowships and scholarships.

Assistance includes help or support in various forms for example, government concessions, such as the seniors card and the winter gas concession, goods, such as water saving rebates and shower heads, or funds,  such as the community safety fund grant, for citizens of Victoria.

      2018/19 Victorian Landcare Grants

      The Victorian Government has committed $1.8 million for Victorian Landcare Grants in 2018-19. These will support Landcare and other environmental volunteer groups to undertake projects that protect and restore the land and environment.

    • 2018/19 Wildlife Rehabilitator Grants Program
      2018/19 Wildlife Rehabilitator Grants Program

      The Victorian Government’s Wildlife Rehabilitator Grants Program provides funding to support wildlife rehabilitators including shelter operators and foster carers, to purchase a range of equipment and infrastructure to assist with the operation of their facilities and to attend appropriate training.

    • Better Commercial Buildings Program
      Better Commercial Buildings Program

      Sustainability Victoria is offering matched funding of up to $30,000 to boost the performance of commercial buildings. Commercial building owners, agents, tenants and facility managers in Victoria can apply for funding to:

      - Conduct energy audits via a panel of pre-approved service providers
      - Implement energy efficiency upgrades of their choice
      - Measure and verify building efficiency improvement

      This program can also facilitate access to third-party finance to assist with upgrades.

      Commercial buildings include offices, hotels, retail and data centres, and some mixed-use buildings.

    • Coastal Public Access and Risk Grants 2018-19
      Coastal Public Access and Risk Grants 2018-19

      The Coastal Public Access and Risk (CPAR) grant initiative provides financial assistance to Victorian coastal Crown land managers to reduce coastal risk and improve public access.

      CPAR is the $2 million competitive grants component of a $7.2 million investment under the Victorian government’s Towards a healthy and resilient marine and coastal future. 2018-19 is the second year of a two-year funding commitment, with up to $1 million available in grants each year.

    • Custom Upgrades Grants
      Custom Upgrades Grants

      The Victorian government will support the participation of early adopters of Victorian Energy Upgrades’ Measurement and Verification (M&V) method for a custom upgrades project. Custom upgrades projects are large, complex energy saving projects where “off the shelf” activities are not appropriate. To support their uptake, the Victorian Government is providing grants of up to $25,000 to support eligible businesses to participate. The work can be used to develop case studies, which will focus on building the business case for participation in Victorian Energy Upgrades.

    • Social Impact Investment for Sustainability Program
      Social Impact Investment for Sustainability Program

      The Victorian Government is supporting investment-ready social enterprises to create new jobs and training opportunities, respond to climate change, avoid and recover waste and improve resource efficiency in the Victorian community.

      The program provides a combination of grant and low interest loan. Investment-ready social enterprises can apply for up to $200,000 as a combination grant and low interest (2.5%) loan to scale up (expand) their operations.

      The program is merit-based and involves two stages – an Expression of Interest (EOI), followed by a comprehensive financial assessment to be conducted by Foresters Group.

    • SV Business - Boosting Productivity Energy Assessment Grant
      SV Business - Boosting Productivity Energy Assessment Grant

      Businesses spending over $20,000 a year on energy can apply for an SV Boosting Business Productivity energy assessment grant of up to $20,000.

      An energy assessment will identify potential energy efficiency improvements for your business, review pricing tariffs, and suitable renewable energy options.

      Two types of grants are available:

      Basic energy assessment – businesses will receive up to $5000 to invest in energy efficiency. The grant will cover up to $2000 towards the cost of a basic energy assessment and a further $3000 bonus to implement energy efficiency actions.

      Detailed energy assessment – Businesses will receive up to $20,000 to invest in energy efficiency. The grant will cover half of the cost of an assessment up to $15,000 and a $5000 bonus to be used to implement energy efficiency actions.

    • SV Business - Boosting Productivity Gas Efficiency Grant
      SV Business - Boosting Productivity Gas Efficiency Grant

      Businesses spending over $20,000 a year on energy can apply for a Gas Efficiency Grant of up to $50,000.

      Gas Efficiency Grants support businesses to invest in gas-related projects including capital equipment upgrades, non-routine maintenance and repairs, fuel switching, and improved metering.

      The grants will improve energy productivity and affordability, support jobs and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

    • SV Business - Boosting Productivity Materials Efficiency Grant
      SV Business - Boosting Productivity Materials Efficiency Grant

      Funding is available to manufacturers looking to find materials efficiency solutions to their waste problems, which will result in more efficient use of materials and less waste sent to landfill.

      Grants of up to $13,000 per business are available.

      - Up to $10,000 can be used for expert advice from a materials efficiency assessor (consultant)

      - Up to $3,000 as an incentive, to start putting in place materials efficiency solutions

      The assessor will work with the business to tackle the root cause of the waste problem, understand the ‘true cost of waste’ and develop a business case for investing in cost-effective solutions.

      The grant require co-funding from the business of 50% of the assessment cost.
