The course will provide participants with the skills to combine sharp analytical insights with evidence concerning contexts and problems, and develop their ability to work closely with stakeholders in designing and implementing regulatory reforms.
Over 6 weeks, participants will be exposed to the latest theories of best practice regulation and relevant and stimulating case studies and expert speakers, including:
- understanding the regulatory space
- contextual analysis, tool choice, and design of a regulatory response
- strategic planning, engagement, and communicating for impact
- regulatory implementation: permissions and approvals
- regulatory implementation: compliance and enforcement
- leading for regulatory success.
Participants will also have the opportunity to further develop these skills through a work-based project, receiving a Monash University micro-credential on completion.
