LGBTIQ+ Sector Capacity Building Workshops 2022

Free workshops for Victorian LGBTIQ+ sector organisations to enhance their business practices, network with others and learn from industry experts.

The LGBTIQ+ Sector Capacity Building Workshops is a new initiative of the Equality Unit of the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing. These workshops are delivered by an accredited training organisation, Monarch Institute.

The workshop topics will cover governance and leadership, financial and legal responsibilities, and marketing to provide LGBTIQ+ organisations with the opportunity to further develop skills and explore new tools to strengthen their ongoing operational developments.

Workshops are free for organisations to attend and will be offered in regional and metropolitan locations, as well as online.

The workshop topics respond to the unique challenges that Victorian LGBTIQ+ organisations are currently facing and recognise the critical role that people and networks play in the development of community organisations who improve the lives of LGBTIQ+ communities.
The workshops, whether they are delivered online or face to face, will be engaging and interactive to promote knowledge sharing and partnering between participants and organisations.

Participants will enjoy activities, learn about case studies from Victorian LGBTIQ+ organisations and gather templates and links to essential resources to allow participants to continue to learn and engage in improved management practices beyond the workshops.
