Supreme Court proceedings on South Gippsland matter

The Local Government Inspectorate is currently investigating the unauthorised release of information from South Gippsland Shire Council.

As part of the investigation, the Inspectorate has initiated proceedings in the Supreme Court of Victoria seeking an order for a person to appear for examination. A resident of Tarwin Lower has been summonsed as part of these proceedings with the initial hearing listed for 8 June in Melbourne.

Details of the case and proceedings will be heard on this date.

As the investigation is still ongoing, no further comment can be made at this time.
