2018 Victorian Feminist Writers Festival

The Victorian Government is supporting Australian feminist writers, readers, speakers and artists connect and share their work in Victoria.

Minister for Women Natalie Hutchins today announced funding for the 2018 Feminist Writers Festival at the State Library of Victoria.

The $45,000 investment recognises the important role of the arts and media in challenging sexism and gender stereotypes, and fostering cultural change.

The Feminist Writers Festival was established in 2016 to promote feminist literature within the wider Australian community, and offers support and networking opportunities for writers and readers.

The 2018 Victorian Feminist Writers Festival will be a four day event in late May 2018. Events will take place in Melbourne and regional centres.

Locations, as well as artists and academics to feature in the festival, will be announced early in 2018.
