Applications are now open for Paving the Way Forward Community Grants, a new grant program with up to $200,000 available to support initiatives that benefit the Flemington and North Melbourne public housing communities.

Applications are now open for Paving the Way Forward Community Grants, a new grant program with up to $200,000 available to support initiatives that benefit the Flemington and North Melbourne public housing communities.

Local community members, groups and organisations are invited to come up with ideas and deliver projects that encourage healthy, happy neighbourhoods, build on the local communities’ strengths and help solve local issues.
Projects will need to align with one of the following categories:

  • Healing and resilience 
  • Community voice, participation, and leadership 
  • Community pride and connection 
  • Health promotion
  • Social and emotional wellbeing
  • Sport and recreation  
  • Arts and culture
  • Education, skills, and employment 
  • Environment and sustainability
  • Improve outdoor spaces

Who can apply for the program

  • Residents of the Flemington and North Melbourne public housing estates with auspicing support from a partner organisation.
  • Incorporated community groups and organisations with not-for-profit status
  • Local community organisations focused on working in genuine partnership with the residents of the Flemington and North Melbourne public housing estates

Applications close Friday, 23 July (midnight) 2021
