Remembrance Day 2022

Remembrance Day is an important opportunity to  pause and remember Australians  who have served in Australia’s Defence Forces.

The Shrine of Remembrance will hold a service:

11 November 2022 12:00 am - 11 November 2022 12:30 am

Can’t attend a service in person? Veterans and their families can still participate.

People can commemorate Remembrance Day from anywhere by pausing and observing a minute’s silence at 11am.

Red to remember

Eleven of Melbourne's cultural and civic buildings will be lit red to honour veterans and their families for their sacrifice and service.

Participating buildings are:

  • Arts Centre Melbourne: 10-11 November
  • Bolte Bridge: 10-11 November
  • Federation Square: 10-11 November
  • Flinders Street Station: 10-11 November
  • Melbourne Museum – Royal Exhibition Building: 10–11 November
  • Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre: 10–11 November
  • Melbourne and Olympic Parks: 10-11 November
  • Melbourne Town Hall: 10-11 November
  • National Gallery of Victoria: 10-11 November
  • Shrine of Remembrance: 1–11 November
  • Victoria Harbour Lighthouse 888 Collins Street: 11 November
