Craig Opie OAM is easily counted among Victoria’s most successful and influential tourism business leaders. His success and service to the industry saw him awarded in 2013 for Outstanding Individual Contribution to Tourism in Victoria.

Craig has been actively involved in the tourism and hospitality industry in a career spanning more than three decades. He was managing director of Colonial Tramcar Restaurants and Eureka Skydeck, two of Melbourne most recognisable attractions servicing more than 700,000 visitors each year.

More recently, Craig’s insight has been brought to bear as board director for Tourism Victoria and Public Transport Victoria. He has likewise served as a board and committee member for numerous tourism and community organisations including Blue Ribbon Foundation, Brothers 500 Club, Victorian Tourism Bushfire Appeal, Christian Brothers Overseas Aid Fund, East Timor Help Group and the Starlight Children’s Foundation. He was also been a foundation committee member for both Melbourne Attractions and the Victorian Tourism Operators Association.

As a past committeeman of Moonee Valley Racing Club, Craig has raced horses for several years.
