Family Safety Victoria
The Victorian Government examine options for the development of a single case-management data system to enable relevant agencies to view and share risk information in real time.
Through co-design and consultation with government and non-government organisations, options were explored for the development of a case management system that would enable key family violence agencies to view and share information in real-time.
Family Safety Victoria has implemented a Client Relationship Management (CRM) system to support the commencement and ongoing operations of The Orange Door. The CRM provides a single case management and information sharing platform for frontline workers to capture and record client interactions and supports collaborative and multidisciplinary practice within The Orange Door. The CRM enables more informed and holistic assessment of risk and needs and facilitates access to support and services for individuals and families. The CRM is integrated with the Central Information Point, the new online risk assessment tools under the Family Violence Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management Framework (MARAM) and the L17 referral system.
The ongoing design and development of the CRM draws on the knowledge, expertise and experience of The Orange Door workforce and is being enhanced to support the implementation and development of The Orange Door service model. Opportunities to leverage the CRM to support and facilitate broader information sharing and collaboration across the sector are under consideration.
The recommendation has been implemented. However, continued collaboration with relevant government and non-government organisations will assist in building our understanding of the information sharing needs within the family violence sector, particularly to support the operation and service delivery of The Orange Door.
