About
The General Duty Guide: A Practical Resource provides an overview of the general duty model and guiding questions. It is for policy officers and leaders in the Victorian public service to inform an assessment of whether this approach is appropriate and what it would require.
The guide draws on expertise from across the Victorian Government and provides:
- an overview of the general duty model
- guiding questions for policy officers across four elements from rationale to implementation
- practical considerations for implementation
- insights into common challenges and risks.
Apply the guide as soon as you start considering a general duty.
