Jill Reichstein OAM

Jill Reichstein's work and cutting edge team approach to social change has made a difference to many lives in Victoria and Australia.

As Chair of the Lance Reichstein Foundation, Jill is actively involved in developing partnerships with the community groups the Foundation supports. After graduation from Monash University, Jill helped establish the first women's refuge in Victoria.

She then went on to develop community based childcare for the City of Brunswick where she gained experience in social planning, community consultation and community development. After working at the Institute of Multicultural Affairs, Jill co-ordinated the Victorians Co-operative of Children's Services for Ethnic Groups.

While Executive Officer to the Reichstein Foundation, she furthered its commitment towards progressive philanthropy and social change. Still actively involved in philanthropy, Jill acts as a consultant to a wide range of community groups on funding and organisational development.

Jill sits on several boards including the Foundation for Young Australians, the Community Support Fund Community Advisory Council of Australia Centre - Melbourne University, the Trust for Young Australians, the Turning Point - Drug and Alcohol Centre, Melbourne Community Foundation, Koori Heritage Trust, the DGL International.

She is Chair of the Royal Children's Community Reference Group MHSKY - Mental Health Services for Kids and Youth. She is a Past President and has been a board member of Philanthropy Australia for the last ten years.
