Intro
0:00
Ever since I was a little girl
0:02
I had always wanted to work with children.
0:05
I'd always done casual babysitting roles
0:09
and just really loved being a part of young children's lives.
0:14
My name's Molly Petruccelle
0:15
and I am at Gowrie Victoria in Carlton North.
0:20
Gowrie is a play-based early learning centre
0:24
where nature is at the forefront of everything that they do.
0:28
Muddy play.
0:29
Water play.
0:30
All of those things that are just fun.
0:33
You can be with the children,
0:34
you truly see their happiness that comes through that.
Education
0:37
I completed year 12
0:39
and moved on to studying my certificate three
0:41
in early childhood education
0:44
whereby I was given the opportunity to do a traineeship
0:46
at an early learning centre in Rosanna.
0:49
I then went on to study my bachelor as I wanted to develop
0:54
and expand on my skills and my knowledge in the industry.
Scholarship
0:58
I'd been told about the scholarship that would help me to complete my bachelor
1:02
as I felt like at that point in time I wouldn't have been able to afford
1:06
the lost amount of money during the time of placements.
1:09
So, the scholarship has really helped me
1:11
to build up my savings and have that money aside when I was on placement.
Outro
1:17
Just being down on children's level
1:19
and really enjoying my time with them.
1:22
It's such a fun industry to be with.
1:25
I think watching them grow and reach all of their goals and developmental milestones
1:29
it's so rewarding to be able to go home and think
1:31
'I made a difference in that child's life'.
