HOW TO USE SECTION 1.1

This short video will show you how to use Section 1.1 on the Department of Education Online Transition Learning and Development Statement.
If you are registered to use EYALT, the Early Years Assessment and Learning tool and have completed the recommended minimum number of assessment modules for this child, check this box and upload the completed EYALT report as part of this submission and you will not be required to re-enter the information in section 1.1 below.
Section 1.1 of a statement is where you need to detail the learning outcomes and the teaching strategies.
Be sure to read the instructions on how to complete each of the three columns, how to select the inbuilt descriptors in the first column, how to edit the descriptors you have selected and how to complete the individualised intentional teaching strategies in the last column.
Click on the outcome buttons to browse and select the appropriate descriptors.
The descriptors are graded so you can only select one from each of the groupings, but you can select from multiple groups at a time.
Scroll down to view them all.
Click OK at the bottom of the popup when you have selected ones you require.
Your selections will appear in the middle column.
Double click the right-hand column to write up the related intentional teaching strategies.
You can format the text with bullet points or number lists using the 2 buttons.
Click out of 1 cell, double click on another and make your edits.
You can also edit or format the descriptors in the middle column the same way by, clicking on the next learnings outcome button.
You can select from its range of built in descriptors and continue working through the page.
In this example you can see we have now skipped ahead and completed the page.
We are ready to move on to the next section by clicking Save and continue.
