If the women of 25 years ago were looking at us now, they'd be amazed at where we've come.

It means a lot to see yourself within that network of women that make a difference. [music]

I feel actually very lucky to have been selected. I feel very fortunate [music] and humbled.

I just look forward to the next 50 years, the next hundred years of honoring women for their contribution.

Well, I was inducted as part of the original honor role. I was really shocked. It was a incredible privilege to be inducted. Um, I looked at the honor role and was so overwhelmed by the caliber of the women who've been inducted.

Being inducted for me personally was humbling, but most of the women who are inducted feel the same way. They're not there for themselves in our world. Um [music] there's a lot about the achievements of men.

So much of women's [music] work is invisible. What this honor role does is actually make that work visible.

I think the job hasn't been completely done to recognize women. I look at the initiatives around naming places for women, [music] naming streets for women.

Men have always been recognized for these [music] things, for their work within the community or within business.

I think it's important to recognize the achievements of women in Victoria.

There's people who are doing incredible work in our society and they're often in industries or areas [music] that really don't have a lot of profile.

I'll say I've drunk the cooler. I think Melbourne is the best damn city in in in Australia and I love it. I love living here. The [music] fact that this this honor role is established here, I think is really very much part of Victoria's ethos, the way Victoria is. So 25 years is great and I certainly hope that it keeps going.

I'm very excited about the potential for women in Victoria. I see so many young, keen, strong, articulate, and powerful young women around. When I think about the girl who was born [music] in that village in Ghana and the journey that has taken me from there to Melbourne and to be recognized on the honor road, it's a long journey that I think I I marvel at that to be welcome and feel welcome and feel supported. I feel very fortunate to have had that. I look forward to uh [music] the next generation coming up with fresh ideas and new ways to make a difference in the world.

In the next 25 years, I want to see women leading the charge for social change. To everybody out there, all the women and girls out there, find your passion and do what you do well.

When women [music] support women, women win. And I truly believe it. Do what you're passionate about [music] and don't give up. Don't let anyone tell you no.

Contribute. Do work that is actually meaningful. Go out there and be yourself and do it.
