The Ministerial Youth Advisory Group (MYAG) is for young people:
- aged 15 to 25 years
- with experience living away from their families in the Victorian care system. By this we mean foster, kinship, permanent or residential care.
Members of MYAG can:
- Share the different experiences they might have living in child protection and care
- highlight what works well and how to improve child protection and care services
- gain leadership and advocacy skills that support their professional development.
We want to reflect the diversity of the Victorian community in advisory groups. This includes:
- First Nations young people
- Young people with disability
- Young people from multicultural communities
- LGBTIQA+ young people
- Young people who live in metropolitan Melbourne, as well as rural and regional Victoria.
