Ministerial Youth Advisory Group

Applications are open for the Ministerial Youth Advisory Group. The Group gives advice to the minister on child protection and care services in Victoria.

The Ministerial Youth Advisory Group (MYAG) is for young people:

  • aged 15 to 25 years
  • with experience living away from their families in the Victorian care system. By this we mean foster, kinship, permanent or residential care

Members of MYAG can:

  • share the different experiences they might have living in child protection and care
  • highlight what works well and how to improve child protection and care services
  • gain leadership and advocacy skills that support your professional development.

We want to reflect the diversity of the Victorian community in advisory groups. This includes:

  • First Nations young people
  • Young people with disability
  • Young people from multicultural communities
  • LGBTIQA+ young people
  • Young people who live in metropolitan Melbourne, as well as rural and regional Victoria.

How to apply

Applications close 11:59 pm, 19 October 2025.
