Pick My Park is a community-driven grants program funding new and upgraded parks in Melbourne, Ballarat, Bendigo, and Geelong. Grants range from $20,000 to $250,000 for projects that improve green spaces and local amenity. A second round of funding is now available. Applications can be for park projects in the following categories:
- Park upgrades – improving existing parks and open spaces.
- New parks- transforming underused urban land into green spaces (excluding land purchases)
Land managers (e.g. councils, community groups) can apply for funding, using community input to shape their proposals. Please use the program guidelines to ensure projects meet the program requirements and include the required information.
Project applications will be assessed for alignment with community feedback alongside the other assessment criteria outlined in the program guidelines. The top ranking projects will go to public voting in mid 2026.
Parks are vital for health, wellbeing, and community connection. Pick My Park helps growing suburbs stay great places to live by supporting high-quality, accessible green spaces.
