A review of the Roads Pre-qualification Register (formerly DTP/VicRoads Pre-qualification Scheme) was finalised in December 2025 resulting in changes to the list prequalification levels offered, in some instances changes to the eligibility requirements and updated application forms.

Conditions of Pre-qualification
The Conditions of Prequalification govern the operation of the Register. In applying for pre-qualification companies agree to abide by these Conditions.

Temporary Traffic Management Accreditation Program
We’ve introduced a new temporary traffic management accreditation program to maintain high levels of safety and compliance at road worksites.
Accreditation has been introduced to align with the changes being made to the Road Management Act 2004 (Code of Practice for Worksite Safety – Traffic Management) and to maintain high levels of safety for traffic management workers, road users and local communities.

Register of Testing Companies
Some contracts may specify the use of the Register of Testing Companies for testing earthworks and unbound pavements on road infrastructure works. The Department maintains this Register, which lists companies eligible to carry out this testing.
