The Social Services Regulator (SSR) is delighted to announce that Jonathan Kaplan, the Regulator, has been selected as one of the 2025 Victorian Fellows by the Institute of Public Administration Australia (IPAA) Victoria.
IPAA Victoria is Victoria’s peak public purpose sector professional association. The IPAA Victoria Fellowship is awarded to individuals public purpose sector whose leadership, integrity and public impact have strengthened communities and advanced public administration. Fellows are nominated by peers and endorsed by an independent Awards Advisory Committee and the IPAA Victoria Board.
Respected across the sector, the IPAA’s 2025 Fellows are celebrated not only for their achievements, but for their unwavering commitment to integrity, collaboration and the values that define IPAA Victoria.
As the Social Services Regulator – appointed on 1 February 2024 – Jonathan Kaplan leads the framework designed to ensure the safety of people accessing social services in Victoria, and is responsible for exercising the duties, functions and powers of the Regulator under the Social Services Regulation Act 2021.
“I’m honoured to be named a Victorian Fellow by IPAA Victoria, and to be part of a public sector that plays such a critical role in improving outcomes for our community,” said Jonathan Kaplan, Social Services Regulator.
“I also want to congratulate the other Fellows and the Emerging First Peoples Leader scholarship recipient – it is inspiring to be recognised alongside such dedicated public sector leaders.”
