Supporting the health and wellbeing of unpaid carers while they care for others

The Victorian Support for Carers Program 2027–2031 funds organisations to deliver tailored supports to Victorians with an unpaid care role.

Eligible organisations can apply for funding between $100,000 and $2 million per year over 4 years.

Funded activities will support carers with opportunities and resources that support their health and wellbeing.

Types of activities that are eligible for funding include:

  • Individual or group counselling
  • Cultural, recreational or community activities
  • Respite support
  • Emergency respite
  • Wellbeing support
  • System navigation and referrals
  • Capacity building

We are seeking applications from organisations with the experience, capacity, and capability needed to support unpaid carers.

The program encourages applications from First Nations organisations. We recognise the essential role of Aboriginal-led organisations in ensuring culturally responsive and self-determined approaches.
