Veterans have a wealth of transferable skills and experience that align with roles across the public sector.
The Victorian Government is committed to supporting veterans to secure meaningful roles that match their skills and interests.
The Office for Veterans holds regular veterans employment workshops. These workshops assist veterans to explore potential career pathways and transition into the civilian workforce.
During the workshops, veterans have the chance to:
- connect with HR representatives
- network with employers and employees from the Victorian public sector
- learn how their service skills and experience can translate to a rewarding career in the public sector
- create connections with other veterans.

Registrations close Friday 23 October 2026.
Engage with department and agency representatives. Hear from veterans currently employed in the public sector through a Q&A panel. Major General David McLachlan AO AO (Mil) (Ret’d) will moderate the panel.
