Child protection jobs – international recruitment

If you move from New Zealand to Victoria to work in a Child Protection Practitioner (CPP) 4 or 5 role you may be eligible for a relocation package.

You may be eligible for a relocation package if you:

• are looking to move from New Zealand to Victoria
• have a valid visa with work rights
• apply for and secure a full-time, ongoing child protection practitioner role at Child Protection Practitioner (CPP) 4 or 5 level.

Once eligible candidates have secured a role, they will be referred to the International Recruitment Team at the department. The team will confirm the package with the candidate.

Support under the relocation package includes:

• Accommodation: temporary accommodation of up to 28 nights upon arrival in Victoria. This applies to the staff member and accompanying partner and dependents.
• Settlement services: tailored relocation support like home search, school search and information packs. Home search includes help with rental applications and utility connections.
• Air travel: one-way economy airfare travel for the staff member and accompanying partner and dependents.
• Incidentals: a one-off payment to cover incidentals with receipts while in transit. For example, food and excess baggage up to a maximum amount.

The relocation package is available for candidates moving from New Zealand to Victoria. It is not available for candidates moving from countries other than New Zealand.

Please note there is a limited number of relocation packages available to successful candidates.

You may be eligible for a sponsorship under the Skills in Demand (subclass 482) 4-year visa if you:

• moved to Australia
• have a valid temporary visa with work rights
• apply for and secure a full-time, ongoing child protection practitioner role at Child Protection Practitioner (CPP) 4 or 5 level.

To be eligible for a sponsorship, you must also:
