Child protection jobs – international recruitment

Temporary visa holders may be eligible for a relocation package if you:

• have a valid visa with work rights
• apply for and secure a full-time, ongoing role as a Child Protection Practitioner (CPP) 5 level (CPP5) with the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing.

Once eligible candidates have secured a role, they will be referred to the International Recruitment Team.

Support under the relocation package includes:

• Accommodation: temporary accommodation is available for up to 28 nights from arrival in Victoria. This applies to you and accompanying partner and dependants.
• Settlement services: tailored relocation support and information packs to help you find a home through home search and school search. Home search includes help with rental applications and utility connections.
• Air travel: one-way economy airfare travel for you and your accompanying partner and dependants.
• Incidentals: a one-off payment to cover extra costs that come up during travel. Remember to keep receipts. For example, additional costs include food and excess baggage up to a maximum amount.
• Sponsorship under the Skills in Demand (subclass 482) visa for eligible candidates.

Note: there is a limited number of relocation packages available to successful CPP5 candidates only.

If you move from New Zealand to Victoria to work in a Child Protection Practitioner (CPP) 4 or 5 role you may be eligible for a relocation package.

You may be eligible for a relocation package if you:

You may be eligible for a sponsorship under the Skills in Demand (subclass 482) 4-year visa if you:

• are already living in Australia (international sponsorship is closed indefinitely)
• have a valid temporary visa with work rights
• apply for and secure a full-time, ongoing role at Child Protection Practitioner (CPP) 4 or 5 level with the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing.
