Working dogs are an important part of the community and provide comfort, community and help for Victorians with disability. To celebrate this contribution, Victorian Public Libraries Ambassador Andrea Rowe has launched a non-fiction book, Dogs with Jobs.
The book celebrates the different jobs and skills that dogs have and how they help both people and the environment.
Frankston Library hosted the book launch this week, with tail-wagging dog guide and 6 trainee pups.
Andrea Rowe was appointed as the inaugural Victorian Public Libraries Ambassador this year working with the Minister for Local Government and Public Libraries Victoria to celebrate the importance of libraries in Victorian communities.
As places of knowledge, creativity and information sharing, Victorian public libraries offer a wealth of connection and learning opportunities for the community. They host a free, diverse range of activities for all ages and abilities. Find a local public library near you at Public Libraries Victoria.
Local Government Victoria and Public Libraries Victoria are part of the Department of Government Services.
