Service Victoria’s Savings Finder 2.0 has been recognised as a finalist in the Digital Design category of the Victorian Premier’s Design Awards 2025. The awards will be held tomorrow, 12 November.
Developed by the Department of Government Services together with the Department of Premier and Cabinet, Savings Finder 2.0 brings together more than 90 support programs from across government.
Savings Finder 2.0 is a tool that helps people find government rebates, discounts and support they may be able to access, and its simple, helpful design has now been recognised.
By answering a few short questions, people receive a personalised list of support they may be eligible for. This includes things like energy bill relief, travel concessions, education support and healthcare savings.
The updates to Savings Finder 2.0 were based on direct feedback from the community. Many people told us they didn’t know what support was available or how to find it. So the tool was redesigned to be easier to use and understand.
Key improvements include:
- a short questionnaire to provide personalised, relevant results
- a search tool so users can quickly find what they’re looking for
- language translation options
- faster updates so listings stay accurate.
The tool works on phones, tablets and computers, and follows accessibility standards to make sure it is usable for as many people as possible.
Being named a finalist highlights the value of designing government services that are clear, helpful and easy to use.
The winners of the Victorian Premier’s Design Awards will be announced on 12 November. And in the meantime, you can find your own savings on the Service Victoria website!
Service Victoria is part of the Department of Government Services.
