The history of Bonn State School

    Bonn School (No.1080) opened as a rural school in 1871.

    Classes were held in a bark building that was built by the local community.

    Bonn school became a state school in 1874.

    Classes were moved to a rented weatherboard building with a shingle roof.

    There were 32 students enrolled at the school in 1878.

    Bonn State School (No. 1080) closed along with Bonn State School (No. 1297).

    The students from both schools moved to a new school called Bonn State School (No. 2191).
