The history of Rokewood Junction State School
- 1861- The school opened in 1861. When it opened it was called Junction Diggings. The name of the school later changed to Rokewood Junction. 
- 1862- The school became a common school in 1862. 
- 1870s- The school became a state school at some stage between 1873 and 1878. 
- 1881- There were 89 students enrolled at the school in 1881. - The head teacher at the time was William Nest. 
- 1889- John Henderson became the head teacher in 1889. 
- 1900- John Saunders became head teacher in 1900. 
- 1908- The schoolhouse was rebuilt and the bell tower removed in 1908. 
- 1945- The number of students enrolled had fallen to 12. 
- 1947- Rokewood Junction State School closed in 1947 because there were only six students enrolled.
