The history of Ullina State School

    The school was opened as a common school in 1865. It was originally known as Moorookyle.

    The first head teacher was Mr McMasters. His wife also worked at the school.

    The weatherboard schoolhouse was next to the post office.

    The school became a state school at some stage between 1873 and 1878.

    The school closed in at some stage in 1922 or 1923.
