We launched the 2026 Victorian Bushfire Appeal to raise funds to support communities across Victoria.
The 2026 Bushfire Appeal has now officially closed.
The VERRF Board would like to extend their sincere gratitude to members of the Victorian public and others, for their generous contribution and ongoing support.
The Appeal raised $902,250, with funds being distributed to impacted individuals and charitable organisations such as GIVIT to ensure they reach those most in need.

100% of the money donated to the 2026 Victorian Bushfire Appeal supports the relief and recovery of people and communities affected by the 2026 Victorian Bushfire Appeal.
Your donation will not be used to cover any administrative costs.
The Victorian Emergency Relief and Recovery Foundation (VERRF) is a charitable trust, supported by the State Government of Victoria.
The VERRF Board generously volunteers their time and are not paid for their work.
The Department of Justice and Community Safety provides administrative support to VERRF and our Board.
How your donation helped
Since January 2026, the VERRF board has approved a total contribution of $291,250 from the 2026 Victorian Bushfire Appeal to GIVIT. The funding was used to provide goods and materials to individuals impacted by the fires across Victoria.
The board assessed the remaining levels of donations to determine where funds can add the most value to impacted communities. The board authorised individual payments to the total of $611,000.
