Homes Victoria is partnering with AVJennings(opens in a new window) and registered housing association Women’s Housing Limited(opens in a new window) to redevelop Harvest Square in Brunswick West (previously called Gronn Place).
Harvest Square will be transformed into a vibrant, well connected neighbourhood with green open space and relaxation areas for families and the whole community.
The development will replace 82 outdated dwellings with a total of 198 new homes.
This will include:
- 111 new public housing apartments
- 79 new private apartments and townhouses
- 8 community housing apartments.
The project will deliver comfortable, secure homes that meet modern design, accessibility and environmental standards.
A new name, a new era
The project has been fittingly named ‘Harvest Square’, referencing the site’s previous history as farming land. Harvest Square also aligns with the vision for a vibrant and inclusive community, providing a space to grow and come together.
Highlights
- Early works commenced at Harvest Square in May 2021.

Timeline
- Late 2021: Site works to commence.
- Second half 2022: Construction on apartment buildings A, B, C and townhouses are estimated to commence.
- Mid to late 2024: Estimated completion.
