Merger 2007: Dandenong High School No. 8858 is the result of a merger of:
- Dandenong High School No. 7760,
- Doveton Secondary College No. 7120 and
- Cleeland Secondary College No. 7723.
The newly merged school was initially called the Dandenong Education Precinct No. 8858 at the start of 2007. By the 9th February 2007 the name was changed to Dandenong High School No. 8858.
