March 2024 Board Update

A meeting of the Victorian Collaborative Centre for Mental Health and Wellbeing Board was held on 5 March 2024. The below update outlines decisions from the meeting.

Governance

The Board received a report on probity from our probity advisers. The Board noted the updated Code of Conduct for Directors of Victorian Public Entities and the restrictions on lobbying activity by directors. As required by the Code, all directors confirmed that they are not engaged in any lobbying activity.

Research Strategy

The Board noted progress with the Research Strategy and the proposed design. The Board agreed to publicly release a draft of the Research Strategy before 30 June 2024.  

Clearing house

The Board approved a proposal outlining the strategic intent of the Collaborative Centre’s clearing house.

Developmental Evaluation

The Board received the Developmental Evaluation Report and noted the recommendations.  

Lived Experiences Advisory Panel appointments

The Board approved the two recommended applicants to the Lived Experiences Advisory Panel. The Board noted priority was given to applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and applicants living in regional Victoria.

Finance, Audit and Risk Committee

The Board received the minutes of a Finance, Audit and Risk Committee meeting held on 20 February 2024.

Lived Experience Strategy

The Board received a presentation from Louise Byrne about progress with the Collaborative Centre’s Lived Experience Strategy. The Board noted the discussion paper which outlined the values, principles and strategies that will underpin the development of the strategy.
